I haven't heard the M4s but I would think the brocks pipes are a little quiter. My son inlaw has a D&D on his GSXR1100 and it sounds high pitched and loud. I have the decel pop only at 3500. I'm already used to it. Still haven't got it dynoed yet but the guy that has the dyno said he could get the pop out.

Scott, I have been so close to buying this exhaust. In fact, I was jockeying money around this morning so that I could purchase these on Friday. But your last comment gives me concern. I like a nice loud pipe, especially when your on the gas, but at cruising speed?, Cruising with RPM's at 4k to 5K, it should purr like a kitten. Is the fact that the pipes are shorter than most, make them louder to your ears? What I mean is that with longer cans the sound is behind you? Can you help put this into perspective for me?

tfl you have to remember these pipes are race pipes (not considered street legal) there is no purr in these lions lol so with that i mind if you have your heart set on brocks you might wanna look into their streetsmart series exhaust

Damn!I like to do 150 to 250 mile day rides, I think I would like this exhaust in town, but if they numb your ear drums on long rides, that would be a negative. Its very hard to make a decision with out hearing the exhaust in person.
My second choice is to go to the Akrapovic 4-2-1, but I dont like how long the can is.(there are no second choices) I want to get away from the old school look of round or oval cans. I like shape, dont care for yoshimura, as for slip-ons, well, there just slip-ons.
Would like a full exhaust, have to compromise and accept it will be single sided, shape other than round or oval, a short can preferred. Makes good HP, and sounds great without being obnoxious.
